Mella Colonies (31M)

Back in the 17th Century, the Mella Empire sent out a small fleet to the New World to establish a colony there. As it grew as much as it could in these unfriendly regions, however, the Mella Empire in Europe fell to the Prussians, and what remained of the royal family had to settle near the only colonies established by the empire.

(V2.0) The Western Mella Empire had founded Fort Williams on Williams Isle, far from the first set of colonies, as well as building a path from Fort Bighorn straight to Fort Greenspell using available caves, and a dedicated church. However, the construction of a pier at Fort Williams has garnered some controversy due to the isolation of the new area from the mainland.

(V3.0) Within a few years from the building of the Williams Isle pier, another pier was built on the mainland, along with a military base with enlisted soldiers. But as of now, the expansion of Fort Greenspell is troubling farmers occupying those lands. Also at this point, the first member of the Mella royal family in the New World was born.

(V4.0) At this point, the Mella Empire royals had invested in a slavehouse and bought up 12 African slaves, aiming to use them to help build the Mella infrastructure. This culminates in the infamous construction of the Inland Slave Passage, in which they were forced through the harshest climates to build a path toward Fort Bighorn, now renamed Camp Lieutenant. Soon enough, Camp Marksman arises on the Inland Slave Passage, seizing opportunity of the newer path.

(V5.0) Within the following two years, construction of Fort Greenspell has pushed the farmers out, though giving them a newer, larger land on which to farm. As new lands are being developed, though, the royal family has reached maximum capacity, and needs to find a new place in which to reside.

(V6.0) During the next few years, Fort Greenspell heavily expanded, with the Mella Royal Family given a well-guarded land completely separate from the town. While these expansions occurred, the British Empire starts settling on distant islands.

Adventure map: The Clash (44M)

This is a two player map, but you can also play it alone.
This map does not work properly in single player minecraft due to some command blocks. Servers running on Bukkit will work since we used that ourself. Do not forget to enable command blocks and villagers in server settings.

When you pull leavers its important that all players are present. Sometimes it spawns things that can block the entrance if you do not act quick enough. At the end of the first temple it will spawn lava that blocks the entrance if you do not run in. I Will change this later since people had some difficulty with this.
The plugin Essentials will prevent you from using certain command blocks.

We build this map using the texture pack Dokucraft. We would like you to use it while playing it aswell so you can see the cities as intended. The texture pack is within the download file aswell and since you always have people that do not use them, it also contains mc-patcher.

This map contains five big cities with their own story, but all stories are connected to each other. We have not used World Edit and when you see some of the city walls you would declare us crazy=P

The Clash
Once there was one civilisation that worshipped two of the gods.
The two were opposites of each other in every way...

Irganon, The God of war, dismay and misery. His nature was one of pure aggression.
Tyria, The warden of progress. She valued progression and learning above all.

War and peace, resulting in an equilibrium. A peace that lasted centuries.
Until Irganon got jealous of Tyria. Tyria was loved by the masses for her peacefull nature and her blessings on behave of science.
Irganon the Agressor and Tyria the Peacefull grew apart and so did their people.
No longer there was peace, no longer was there one civilisation bound in peace. For the gods had clashed and now so had their people.
They made a bet against each other. Wich civilisation would thrive, would conquer and outgrow the other.
They send you to see whose the winner.

My First Uploaded World (FTB Mindcrack) (227M)

Mostly uploaded because I have a hard time remembering where anything is in this world :P

Black splotches are either volcanoes or wasteland biomes. The stuff they're made of (basalt and cracked sand) is not in vanilla.

Nether portal leads (or ought to lead) to my nether pump which fuels my increasingly inadequate power grid.

The end portal I opened is about 200-300 meters due west of the village on the mountain closest to my house.

Nuclear reactor with no components installed is also in the basement. The plan is to eventually power it with thorium, but I'm short several hundred copper. Temporary netherrack melting operation connected to industrial centrifuges won't be enough but it's something considering I don't have any use for netherrack.

Also note the mob farm: it is intentionally set up so mobs die when they fall. I really just wanted it to be hands off and accumulate mob drops. Converting it to an xp farm is as simple as raising the floor of the fall by like 1 or 2 blocks.

Update 3/30/13:

I used a portal gun to kidnap I MEAN invite a whole bunch of villagers for a little condo I made. I haven't counted how many there are now but it's probably close to 30.

Also, located approx 180 blocks from the nether portal (in the nether, north south east west) is my fast travel system. The portals lead to 1200 blocks in every direction of my house in the overworld.

I also resolved an issue that previous versions of this world were having that was causing lag. Turns out I had some advanced solar panels not hooked up to anything.

edit: 4/2/13
Note there's some weird worldgen with the file I'm uploading today, although it's going to be mostly confined to 1200 blocks away from 0,0. This is the result of my disabling some of the biomes in extrabiomesXL, since i'm sick of every other biome being ugly variations on rainforests. However editing the config file for this mod and using a save file that started with a different configuration seems to have resulted in partially generator biomes (IE ones I hadn't fully explored yet) abruptly ending. Biomes which aren't mentioned in the config for the mod, though, don't seem to be effected (like oceans).
