ViralPickaxe Lets Play World

This is the world that is used in the videos for viralpickaxe lets play.

This maps content is from episode 15. It is updated regularly to match as close as possible to the most recent video.

This map contains a huge mine system with many diamonds, loads of near to the surface dungeons and also my buildings that i have made during the series. There are also many revenues. In episode 11 i find a nether dungeon which is included in the save. Watch episode 12 on how to get to the dungeon from the portal.

The player is in the exact position when the episode is left off.

My rather uninspiring efforts on the Wolf World (seed "wolf"). Mostly uploaded to this site so I could figure out where the heck I got to when I got lost while out hunting with my pet dog one day and couldn't find my way back to my mine despite a game-week's effort, thanks to forgetting to bring my compass along with me when I went out. Nearly all the structures on this map are underground and thus probably won't be very interesting to look at.

Update: Finally have something visible above ground, a bridge connecting my three main bases and a fourth one that got abandoned due to large lava lakes directly underneath it at bedrock layer. Currently searching for a good location for a fifth base. Also wondering if the cave map will help me figure out the humongous underground cavern discovered at one of my bases' bedrock branch mines.

Update 2: Built a couple new bases, including a spectacular new minecart station hub and an impressive observation tower. Currently trying to find a good route for the minecart tracks to loop back around towards eventually becoming a complete circle.

Yet another game on the "Glacier" seed. Again, most stuff is underground, including a vertical mineshaft from the top of a mountain (level 120) to bedrock (level 6). Minecart system connecting all mining complexes.

Update: Built several more mineshafts and connected them to the minecart network with a new station type of my own design. Completed the 1-to-1 scale model of my real-world house. Hollowed out a giant floating boulder to be future living space. And built a gigantic Union Jack out of 1500 dyed wool, all of it legit.

Update Aug 23 2011: Built a couple more mineshafts and extended the minecart network. Now have both ends linked both by minecart and by nether-gate shortcut through a protected underground tunnel in the Nether. If anyone wants to finally get that "On a Rail" achievement, just download this world and ride a cart from either end of the track to the other, it's 1.2km long already.

Update Sept 12 2011: Completed partial loop back of minecart track, three more mineshaft stations. Looking for pathway for new track line to create full loop. Getting a bit sick of dying in lava.
