Every time I modify a dark oak or an area around/under it, it turns black when rendered and becomes visible in the "Cave" view of the rendering. Is there anything i can do to counter this so my trees show up normal?

I noticed you mentioned this before, but I wasn't sure how to address this issue. As a moderator I don't deal with server-side issues such as the one that you are having. I'll see what I can do to get this fixed for the 1.9 release.
i wasn't sure if it had been seen before as i put it at the end of that other post, so i figured i'd make one for this issue specifically.

if there is a way to fix it eventually that'd be great, it sucks that my map is all splotched cause i decided to start with a Flatland Dark Oak Forest. :/
