Upload problems - mze9412 - 03-25-2012

Recently I always encounter the following error when uploading my maps. I always get it for my bigger world (1.5GB zip file) and sometimes for my smaller word (600MB zip file).

IO. Error: Error #2038. File: world_release.zip

Is this because of my browser (FF 10) or is it because of something on your page? Smile

Current upload limit is 1GB. I'm not sure why you would get this error with the smaller world but that's the normal error when you're over this limit.

With the smaller map I get this sometime during the upload. Sometimes directly at the beginning, sometimes at 50% or later ...

Will the limit be changed when 1.2 is supported? It doubles the map size ...

Not sure about increasing the limit. It's more of a hard drive space thing and being able to keep up with the demand on the ever filling hard drives. Smile

Hm, can't you delete the map files after rendering? Wink I don't need the download option anyway ... If the limit stays 1GB your site is going to be obsolete for my server because both our maps will be bigger than that very quickly Sad

I managed to upload the smaller map without problems yesterday evening Smile

It's not a matter of hard drive space it's a matter of realistically processing the render of the map. A 1GB map currently takes days to process and that time that other people's maps aren't being processed.

Good to hear. Smile

Hm, I would offer parts of my server for rendering if you want to. I have an i7 with 16GB RAM around which is just running our small minecraft server Wink

I would love some extra processing. Is it running Linux?

Wouldn't do anything until the 1.2 update is ready but I dont' see why that couldn't work out.

RE: Upload problems - mze9412 - 03-30-2012

Yes, it is running Debian Linux Smile We would have to run some trials to see how it goes and if it might lag the minecraft server but I think there should be no problem.
