A long time project of mine, the empire of Al'Darath, composed of 18 villages (currently), it's an ever growing project, that's far from finished, But I wanted to share it anyway. Created on Minecraft 1.12.2, and it involves the mods Mo' Creatures and Rustic, so maybe you'd like to get those to see the map in full. Also I usually use a slightly modified version of the Wolfhound resource pack.
The empire is composed by the capital, two larger cities and six smaller ones, each one exploring goods and produce to feed the whole empire. Each city has an assigned color, that can be seen on banners and the window panes everywhere, as well as the banners on the railroads connecting them. Many sand pyramids can be found around the cities, most of them being the resting ground to leaders and royal family. Some cities retained it's old names, often derivated from the old empire's royal family, descendents of Tsarek Morith, the founder of the old empire, Dal'Morith.

The nine cities:
Al'Darath - Red -(x= 154; z= -409)
The great capital, formely known as Dal'Morith, changed it's name after being conquered by the Aluvians coming from the southern fields. It's name follows the southern tradition to name a city with the prefix Al', meaning Of, followed by the city name. In this case, after the conquest, it was name Of Darath, in reference of it's conqueror Ko Darath. Houses the great stables of Al'Darath, given that Darath loved to horse ride; Queen Arsharna's needle garden, a cacti garden beside the capital's walls; The official emperor's residence; a small theater; and railroad connection to all 8 cities of the empire.
Hel'Sirith - Purple -(x= -395; z= -506)
The knowledge hub, ostriches and glass as their main exports. Hel'Sirith is the oldest city, given that it never meddled in war affairs, and quickly accepted Al'Darath's rulership. It's name has the prefix Hel' meaning State-City, followed by Sirith, meaning Crown-Jewel. It's one of the few cities that has learned to create and train ostriches for riding, having an ostrich stable within it's walls. Purple glass panes are extensively used as decoration of entryways to the city. It's temple is one of the most well kept, even after the Aluvian invasion. It's the only city to master the training of mantycores, that's kept underground.
Hel'Yffren - Blue - (x= 499; z= 89)
The tradicionalists, wool and honey as their main exports. Formely known as Dal'Vasral before the Aluvian conquest, named after Morith's youngest son, was renamed after the 5th aluvian counselor, Ildoran Yffren, who brought the city to the empire. It's temple houses the remains of the Dal'Morith emperors, despite objections from the capital. Being beside a large river, has a boathouse, and a large glass pane arch above it. It's one of the few empire cities to have connections with the southern cities, given that it's river passes by one of them. It houses a large sheep pen, as well as one of the largest clay making houses.
Hek'Serval - Green - the 1st stone city, eggs of various kinds and horses as their main export. One of the firsts cities to be conquered by the aluvians, served as headquarters before the great invasion to Dal'Morith. It's named after one of Morith's grandsons, who was the 5th Tsarek emperor. Houses a decadent horse stable, relic from it's early days. It's inhabitants love to decorate houses and rooftops with wool, their diet consists basicaly on chicken, duck and turkey eggs and bear milk. It's the closest city to the southern cities, keeping trade connections with them.
Hek'Malad - Yellow - the 2nd stone city, birch and acacia as their main exports. Neighbor to Hek'Serval, it was named after Emperor Serval's sister, who would become empress after him, still mantains a close relation with the green city. Houses a lion pen and most of their animal farms are on caves beneath the mountain. Their stone wall kept most of the Aluvians attacks for years, but when Hek'Serval fell, it soon followed.
Hek'Salith - Magenta - Hel'Sirith's daughter, boatmakers and olives as their main exports. It was named after empress Salith, eye-beauty, 4th Tsarek empress. Before the conquest the villagers living here worshiped snakes, still having a snake head statue in the middle of the city, and maintains a snake terrarium. Most sand pyramids are not from notable leaders but from wealthy merchants around the sea bay, which is protected by a cactus ring around it. It's the northernmost city of the empire, keeping trade routes open with the Northern cities and one of the Eastern ones.
Hek'Mersal - Orange - Hek'Salith's sister, fish and oak wood as their main exports. Has a very close relation with the sea, houses three great pyramids, however one of them has fallen, being called the broken pyramid ever since. It's previous culture was one of body cremation, having an old temple on a hill. Merging with the new empire culture, the body is cremated but the skull is cleaned and sent to the House of White. It's named after the 3rd Tsarek emperor, Mersal, Strong-eye.
Hek'Movath - Light Blue - the mourning city, ironwood and andesite as their main export. It's called the mourning city because of Tsarek Movath, Tsarek Morith's brother, whose decendants exiled to this city after the insavion. The walls were teared down and replaced with andesite, a dark stone, representing the city's mourning to the end of the previous empire. Besides the railroad that takes to the capital, it's river reaches the capital before following north towards the sea.
Hek'Vemith - Pink - the red sand city, was brought to the empire before the invasion, by Morith II's daughter, Vemith, who fell in love with the city's red sandstone walls. It's where the House of White originated, being masters of taking care of the dead. After it's inclusion to the empire, every city has outside it's gates a House of White, indicated by two banners (one of the city's colors with a white triangle on the bottom, and one white with a colorful triangle on the bottom).
The Southern Cities
The place of origin of the Aluvians, it occupies the southernmost part of the continent. It divides in four independent cities.
Al'Vias - Green with a blue vertical line - (x= -187; z= 828)
The closest city to Hek'Serval, it's where Ko Darath came from. It's name translates to Of River, given it's position in the middle of two rivers. Has a short cobblestone wall surrounding it, and it's quite underdeveloped in comparison with the empire cities. Survives in oak exploration and fishing. Has a short railroad track connecting it to it's neighbor city.
Al'Sathos - Brown with white skull - (x= -219; z= 1149)
The closest city to Al'Vias, it's notorious for being a ghost town. It's said that it's entire population has died out before it being found and repopulated again. It's said to have happened a few times before, and that will happen again, making the most superstitious to steer from it. It's people don't seem to fear the same fate as it's previous owners, given it's name being translated to Of Death's Beauty. It's Western section, as well as part of the Eastern and Northern sections, are taken over by tombstones.
Al'Rekdev - Grey with a Light Grey Triangle - (x= 628; z= 821) By the foot of a mountain, it's name translates to Of Snow Mountain, it's people raise sheep and bears to fend off the cold air of the mountain. On it's peak sits an old temple, said to have fallen down the valley countless times throughout history, just to be rebuild once more. It's also home to a rare wholly mammoth, coming from the East. It's one of the largest southern cities, taking the leaderance on political matters.
Al'Anvas - Light Grey with a Blue circle - (x= 1236; z= 640)
The closest city to Hel'Yffren, with the blue city's river bathing Al'Anvas' swamp. It's swamp names the city, translating to Of Ground and Water. It's banner comes from the lazuli veins that run through the underground, sprouting on the ravine that crosses the Eastern side. Half of it's buildings are covered in vines, given the swamp's influence on the Western side.
The Northern Cities
A big island to the North of Hek'Salith houses four cities. Given the sea separating the two, the Northern cities keep an unique culture, quite different from the desert culture and language shared by the Empire.
Everain - Light Blue Drops on the upper side, Light Green on the middle and Yellow on the bottom - (x= -187; z= -1730)
The closest city to the shore, often engages commerce with Hek'Salith. It's characterized by it's close to non-stop rain, and it's mud wall. They're keen to metalwork, topping it's wall and almost every building with iron bars.
Redwood - Green background with a Red flower in the middle - (x= 309; z= -2338)
The city of Redwood is named after the acacia wood, used in every building, including it's surrounding wall. They enjoy wood lattices adorning their rooftops, with every building having a roof opening for ventilation. On the nearby hill lies a sacred ever-burning fire, used for yearly celebrations.
Suneye - Yellow Background with Orange details - (x= 340; z= -2862)
The only city to be in the desert, it's river connects it to Redwood and the open sea. It houses elephants, usually used for transport. It's said to have been much larger, but great part was lost to the sand.
Dawnbay - Red background with a Yellow hourglass and a Red circle on the middle - (x= 591; z= -3067)
The northernmost city, it also opens to the sea, keeping connected with it's neighbor cities by water. It's Western side sits in a steep valley, with the city center being on top of a hill. It has a lot of stairs and it's surrounded by a fenced wall. It's red wood reflect on it's bay water, giving a look of everlasting sunrise.
